The Road to Rio starts in Antwerp on 20 juni, 2015

The Hockey World League will take place from June 20th to July 5th 2015 on the KHC Dragons fields located at the municipal park of Brasschaat. Over the course of this tournament, 20 countries will compete for a qualification ticket for the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.

• Participating countries:
  • Women: Belgium (host country), Netherlands (world champion), Australia (vice world champion), New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, India, Italy, France and Poland.
  • Men: Belgium (host country), Australia (world champion), Great Britain, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Ireland, Poland, France and China.
• Expected number of visitors: between 30,000 to 40,000
• 1,200 volunteers who will be active before, during and after the event
